Submission Guidelines
-
Content: We accept creative works like art, illustration, comics, short stories (up to 2 A5 pages), poems, articles, recipes, and photography.
-
Submission Information: Provide your name and pronouns and social media or website link so we can credit you in the zine. If you prefer to remain anonymous leave the form areas blank. Your email is mandatory so we can keep you informed about the zine's progress.
-
Copyright: You own the copyright to your work. By submitting, you allow us to display and promote it, with proper credit to you.
-
Format: Submit your visual works (art, illustration, photography) in A5 size and 300 dpi resolution with a 3mm bleed for full-bleed pages. For written works, PDF or Word documents are preferred – these will be formatted to fit the zine. For visuals, high-res images or digital files are appreciated.
-
Submission Process: When submissions are open, you can submit via a Google form. The deadline and theme will be specified in the form.
-
Eligibility: This zine is open for anyone that is queer to submit. We reserve the right to refuse entries from those with a history of transphobic, homophobic or racist actions, content or endorsement of the same.
-
What happens next: Once the zines have been printed, we will send out a free copy to each contributor whose work made it into the issue. We will, however, ask you to chip into the Postage (approx £2 GBP in UK, international may be up to £6 GBP) unless you specify that you will pick it up in person at an event.
We aim to print 50 copies, of full-colour zines. This will be self-funded by Mx Jinn.
-
Transparency: Any profit that is made from the zine will go towards printing future zines to keep this affordable and sustainable.
-
